APRIL 19, 2008 LANDSCAPE - PENCIL STUDY - WATERCOLOUR Discover the wonderful techniques of pencil drawing, the value sketch and relationship to transparent watercolour. From sketch and demonstration to a finished watercolour painting. The workshop will give the participant colour choices, design instruction, editing from a photograph and a clear vision of value and composition.
MAY 24, 2008 NORTHERN LANDSCAPES - WATERCOLOUR Exploring watercolour techniques with traditional
northern landscapes and waterscapes to create mood, transparency and a
sense of place. You will learn how to paint dramatic skies, mist and
understand reflections, waterfalls, trees and rock formations using
supplied reference material with an informative demonstrations. the
participant will enjoy the colour systems and studies to transform a
simple scene into a successful watercolour.
JUNE 21, 2008 SEASCAPES - FISHING VILLAGES A study of fishing villages and communities associated
with the sea. Students will learn how to create and use local
architecture, detailed studies of piers, lobster traps, in their
painting. Mood, transparency play an important role in the development
of this environment
